Abstract:In recent studies for modelling of predator-prey populations, fear effect is often considered as an important factor. In this talk, taking the maturation period of prey into account, we proposed a predator-prey model with time delay and fear effect. The stability of the equilibria, uniform persistence of the model and Hopf bifurcations are studied. In particular, the global Hopf bifurcations are investigated by numerical simulations. It turns out that both stable and unstable periodic solutions may disappear as time delay increases. Our results suggest that the maturation period has an important effect that a moderate length of maturation period is helpful for the population coexistence. This talk is based on a joint work with Xiaoke Ma and Xingfu Zou.
